When developing new models, we realized that every user has their own idea of convenience. So we removed the strap from the base package, reducing the bag’s price by exactly the cost of an expensive strap. Now you buy a quality removable strap just once, and it will perfectly fit all your Blackpack waist or bike bags in the future.

Three Types of Attachment: 40 mm, 25 mm, and Carabiner
To make sure the strap fits perfectly, check your bag’s attachment type. It’s listed in each product’s specifications under “Attachment,” and in the Bag Straps section you can filter straps by it. Right now, Blackpack offers three types of attachment:

Straps of different types aren’t interchangeable: a 40 mm webbing won’t fit a 25 mm attachment, and a carabiner strap doesn’t have a buckle for waist bags. The magnetic Fidlock buckle is compatible with EDB straps, as well as the double-sided and single-sided ones. If in doubt, open the accessories block on the bag’s page — it only shows compatible options.
Straps for Waist and Bike Bags
All our waist and bike bags have a standard 40 mm wide loop to which the strap attaches. For these, we offer three main options.
1. Double-Sided Strap (Side)
This is the most versatile double-sided strap with a center buckle that adjusts on both sides and has a very wide adjustment range.
- Advantages: Suitable for people of any build, it can even be adjusted for a child by neatly tucking the excess ends under the elastic.
- Disadvantages: The webbing ends don’t have rigid fixation, so the strap may loosen slightly when the tension angle changes. Additionally, the center buckle can press into your back if you’re behind the wheel of a car.
2. Single-Sided Side Strap
If you’re looking for an option that doesn’t press into your back while driving, check out the single-sided side strap. It has a buckle sewn to only one side and a thoughtful free-end fixation system that easily pulls through a half-ring.
- Advantages: You can easily change the buckle position (for right or left hand) by simply reattaching the strap, and it doesn’t loosen on its own.

Straps for Shoulder Bags (Cross-Body)
For Street Pouch: Carabiner Attachment
After updating the Street Pouch, we also removed the strap from the package to give you a choice. You can choose the functional EDC strap for Street Pouch with a soft middle section, convenient for hanging sunglasses or a small portable speaker. Or opt for the basic simple strap for Street Pouch with length adjustment and reliable carabiners.
For Every Day Bag (EDB): 25 mm Attachment
The EDB bag used to come with two straps included, but since a fully loaded bag can get quite heavy, we’ve added a wide strap for EDB to the lineup, which distributes weight much better and goes easier on your back. Now you get to choose: maybe you need the narrow strap for EDB for light city trips, or the EDB leg strap, a favorite among motorcyclists. As for the Every Day Pouch (EDP), it has a 40 mm attachment, so it works with waist bag straps — either double-sided or single-sided.

Bike Mounts
If you plan to use bags directly on your bike, for secure front mounting you’ll need a handlebar mount, which, by the way, is already automatically included with all our bike bags. For maximum stability and reduced swaying while riding, you should additionally use a stem mount, which fits most models except the compact IGB Mini.
