EDB Narrow Strap: who it’s for and why
EDB Narrow Strap — the basic attachment option for EDB bags first and second generation, designed primarily for waist carry.
The strap wraps around the waist and secures the bag in a stable position regardless of activity — walking, running, cycling. Thanks to sufficient adjustment range, it can be tightened more and secured on the leg instead of the waist if this carry method is more convenient in a specific situation (for example, on a motorcycle, when waist attachment gets in the way).
Compact dimensions (10×10×3 cm) allow carrying the strap separately from the bag when not in use, or keeping it as a spare — in case you need to quickly change the carry method.
If the primary scenario is the leg rather than the waist, it makes more sense to get the “EDB Leg Strap”: it’s designed specifically for this and is likely more comfortable for constant wear in that position.

The frame that attaches the free end is pretty useless. My suggestion is to attach the free end the same way as on wide straps
